QB "Quick Build" kit has 1/2 the Cleco Fasteners.

RV-9 Option adds 100 3/32" Cleco Fasteners and 50 1/8" Cleco Fasteners.

RV-10 Option adds 175 3/32" Cleco Fasteners and 75 1/8" Cleco Fasteners, Special Bucking Bar and additional Squeezer Sets**.
RV-14 adds special dimple die and countersink bit for the elevator.
RV-14 adds a 120-deg countersink and several additional drill bits and there are some minor other deletions/additions per RV-14 builder's requests. The RV-14 was updated 12/2020 to include additional builder input items. Email for a specific RV-14 tool list.

The RV-7, RV-7A, RV-8 and RV-8A tool kits are the same, except for the quick-build tool kit which has 1/2 of the 3/32 and 1/8 clecos.

If your shipping is to an INTERNATIONAL location please email us directly for a shipping quote. The shipping cost will be significantly less than standard rates on-line due to a special arrangement we have with our International carrier. Kit within the Continental USA is shipped via FedEx Ground. Someone will need to be there to sign for and receive the shipment because of the insurance value. In the U.S.A. the Commercial Quality dimpler can only ship FedEx Ground.

IMO, you can't go wrong, as long as you order from a decent tool supplier. I got an Isham tool kit and have been happy with my purchase. the only trouble I had was with my pneumatic squeezer adjustable set holder, which was bent. Isham replaced it quickly at no charge. I use my snips and suspect you will too. Get lots of extra silver clecos. Get an pneumatic drill (preferably the Sioux Palm Drill). The standard one in the Isham kit is fine, but the Sioux is better (I have both). A pneumatic cleco runner is a good idea, given that you're building a 10. You will use lots of clecos and a pneumatic runner will save you time and prevent your hands from cramping up using the cleco pliers exclusively. My $0.02. Mike Rettig

I bought my kit from Isham. Planetools.com. VERY happy with the kit and customer service. I ordered a flat end yoke for the squeezer (not in the kit). When I ran into a rivet that it didn't have enough of a squeeze for, I contacted Isham and next day they sent me an extended die to take care of the issue, free of charge! I was very impressed with the customer service. Highly recommend! The only tools in kit I feel I haven't used much are the "tin snips". There were 3 in the set. I've used one. I went with an Isham set and I was/am extremely happy with them. You won't regret getting started right away. Not sure what deals they will have at Oshkosh. Some vendors advertise the deals they will be having there. A&P RV-10 Flying 800 hours

I bought the Isham Tools and they are great! It was really cool when I went to Synergy Air and their favorite tools were the Drill and Rivet Gun that Isham sold me. Get rid of the adjustable valve on the Rivet Gun. The kit came with all the extras many other kits don't have that my friend recommended. Their internet price was good! Sean Mecham

I got most of my tools from Isham http://www.planetools.com, I went ahead and got the entire RV Full Tool Kit. It's pretty expensive though, but so far have not had to purchase a whole lot of other special tools, besides, grinder, drill press (which i already had), Band Saw, & Vice. However, I did end up getting more clecoes, and obviously new bits as they dull. I also got some other dimple die sets as well.

For nigh on to four years I've been satisfied with my initial tool kit from Isham. Recently my squeezer starter leaking at the input - no problem, they repaired it fast at no charge. Then two weeks later the small bushing on the end of my angle drill cracked - no problem, they sent me a new drill, again no charge. Pretty good service, eh? Gary R. Kohler Ohio RV-7A Tipup

I too have been satisfied with my tool kit from Isham. I had initial problems with my squeezer when I first got the kit 4 years ago (bent adjustable set holder), but it was replaced for free by Isham, and I haven't had any trouble, with anything else. My only regret is that I didn't upgrade my drill to the Sioux at that time. I recently purchased a used Sioux to add to my tool box, but I still use the "clone" drill I got in my Isham kit. The pneumatic puller that came with the -12 tool kit I got from Isham is so good that I can't imagine it could be improved upon. I don't know who makes it for them. In fact, the whole tool kit has been quite good, and a bit cheaper than Avery. The compressor I use is a 30-year-old 5-hp Craftsman with a regulator.
