The DRDT-2 dimpler
aircraft tool is
a welded steel c-frame rivet dimpler. It replaces common impact c-frame
rivet dimplers. With its simple mechanical advantage, dimpling is fast,
easy, noise free, less fatiguing and safe on skins, stringers, ribs,
spars, bulkheads and other critical parts. A fully adjustable die
holder allows for consistent and accurate dimples. The unit
incorporates a low force spring return system that prevents part damage
from the accidental release of the handle. The dimpler has a 22" throat
depth which allows dimpling of up to 44" wide sheets. The relief under
the lower frame member provides dimpling access to spars, ribs, leading
edge skins. Designed and analyzed using state of the art engineering
tools the DRDT-2 can handle all dimpling needs on any aircraft sheet
metal repair or building project.
With this unit dimpling is consistent,
easy, safe, less fatiguing and noise free. The dimpler can be operated at
anytime day or night without disturbing family or neighbors. This
allows the first time aircraft builder to achieve professional quality
results.
The DRDT-2 is finished with an industrial powder coat giving one of the
toughest finishes available. The unit comes ready to dimple (minor
assembly required). See the
